We are seeking a strategic and hands-on IT Director to lead and manage our technology infrastructure, cloud-based systems, and IT operations. The ideal candidate will be an expert in driving innovation, ensuring system scalability, and optimizing end-user experiences while maintaining a strong focus on information security and cost-effective IT solutions.
Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering, operations, and management of cloud-based production systems to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Drive process innovation, automation, and tooling to enhance system efficiency and reliability.
- Develop strategies, processes, and procedures for 24x7 site reliability, including run books, escalation workflows, incident resolution, and disaster recovery plans.
- Oversee all enterprise computing environments, including Cloud, Network, Desktop, Server, and Microsoft 365 platforms (e.g., Fortinet, Active Directory, M365 E5, GoSecure, Barracuda, VOIP systems).
- Manage outsourced helpdesk and desktop support services to optimize user experience.
- Collaborate with third-party MSPs for execution of critical Microsoft services such as AD, DNS, and DHCP scopes.
- Develop and manage IT budgets for desktop, infrastructure, and cloud computing.
- Execute and enhance information security practices, with a preference for expertise in Healthcare IT environments.
- Research and implement innovative technology solutions to address business challenges and opportunities.
- Communicate IT priorities and project statuses effectively across all levels of management and departments.
- Build and maintain a robust, scalable, and cost-efficient IT ecosystem aligned with organizational goals.
- Address conflicts and significant issues with a solutions-oriented approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Engineering, IT, or related field preferred; equivalent work experience acceptable.
- 10+ years of IT experience, with expertise in:
- Microsoft 365 (M365), including administration and optimization.
- Helpdesk management and multi-site IT environments.
- Server and network management.
- Strong skills in incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Proficiency in information security, particularly in regulated environments like healthcare IT.
- Demonstrated ability to manage budgets and prioritize competing IT needs.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams and stakeholders.
